Pedestrian bridge from Gießen railway station to the multi-storey car park Lahnstraße

Main works

• In three night operations, 170m² mastic asphalt protective layer and 170m² mastic asphalt covering layer were implemented in half-sided construction in order to avoid a blockage of the pedestrian bridge.

Special features

• A Celtic knot was embossed in the mastic asphalt wearing layer using the street-print process. The stencils were made in advance especially for this construction site.
• The challenge was to arrange the stencils for the half-sided construction without any visible offset.
