Main works

• Basic renewal of the roadways and the bicycle path including kerbstones

Overview

• 800 tons of asphalt base course in two layers
• 5.250 m² of asphalt binder according to the stone mastic principle and stone mastic asphalt wearing course
• 220 m² of asphalt base course
• 62 m of high kerbs on the bicycle path
• 1 shaft structure renewed
• 80 m of concrete sliding strip removed

Special features

• Emergency measure
• Road damage as a result of the A66 Salzbachtal bridge blasting
• 6 construction areas in three construction phases in a total of 7 working days construction time
• In addition, there was the replacement of a shaft structure on the bicycle path, which had been severely damaged by the impact of the bridge and which had not been foreseen by the contractor. Equipment (including our suction excavator), material and personnel had to be arranged overnight for the replacement of the shaft structure and the replacement had to be completed by 1 p.m. for asphalt paving.
