Hanau – Redesign of the square & streets around the Walloon-Dutch Church

Overview

  • Total area 17.050 m² (divided into:)
    • 4.950 m² natural stone paving basalt and dolomite d = 14 cm on drain asphalt
    • 6.200 m² coloured asphalt beige around the WNK
    • 3.800 m² of lawn areas with 80 pop-up sprinklers
    • 1.400 m² concrete block paving
    • 700 m² asphalt surface in side streets

  • 6,700 m³ excavated earth for surface paving
  • 9,800 tonnes of ballast base layer
  • 47 Preparing and planting tree locations
  • 2,450 m irrigation lines, 40 tree irrigations
  • 500 m³ excavation for 600 m gas and water pipe
  • 500 m³ excavation for 6,700 m cable protection pipes, 62 lighting poles
  • 120 m³ excavation for 250 m district heating pipes

Special features

Building in inner city location – close coordination with the traffic authorities due to many neighbouring building sites & nearby heritage-protected partial ruins in exposed location on the building site.
