Team-building on and off the green pitch
On 15 July, the Wilhelm Schütz Stadium of the SG Oberlahn was transformed into an arena of construction machinery. Firma Schütz celebrated its big summer party and attracted numerous employees and their families to the club grounds. Maximilian Schütz opened the party with a short welcome speech in which he presented the programme for the day.
A special highlight was the demonstrations of the construction machines. Sascha Lenz impressed the audience with a demonstration of a powerful JCB excavator. The suction excavator, demonstrated by Kastriot Iljazi, also attracted the attention of the spectators with its unusual appearance and functionality.
It was particularly pleasing that even the youngest visitors were able to enjoy the summer festival to the full. The children were fascinated by the large construction machines and were even allowed to take a seat behind the wheel themselves. The beaming smiles on their faces clearly showed that enthusiasm for the construction industry can (and should) be awakened at a young age.
Another highlight of the day was the friendly football match of our newly formed company team in their brand new, bright red jerseys against SG Oberlahn. The exciting match ended with a 3:2 victory for our “Reds”. It is planned to let the new dream team take part in special tournaments in the future (however, they will not play in the league).
We would like to take this opportunity to thank our hosts, the members of SG Oberlahn. They were not only a great opponent in the first match of the company team, but also did an excellent job on their part in the organisation of the event. The stalls with drinks, popcorn and delicacies were very well attended and put smiles on the faces of visitors young and old.
Impressions of the summer festival
